Turning ideas into websites your visitors actually enjoy
I’m Rachel, a web designer and developer who blends psychology, clean design, and simple tech to help small businesses show up online with confidence.
The heart of what I do
Running a small business is demanding enough without battling confusing website builders and endless tutorials.
My mission is simple: to give small businesses the support, clarity, and confidence they need online.
I believe great websites feel effortless, you don’t always notice good design because everything just works. But you do notice when something feels off. I focus on the details so your visitors never experience that “why isn’t this working?” frustration again.
What makes my work different
🧠
Design led by people
I build websites around how real people think, click, and make decisions. Clean, intuitive, and guided by UX principles, not by whatever layout happens to come with the theme.
👍🏼
A flexible approach
Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, each has its strengths, and each fits different businesses. I don’t force clients into one system. I recommend the tool that supports your goals, skills, and budget.
🤝🏻
Small business friendly
You bring the ideas; I turn them into something beautiful, strategic, and functional. Building your website should feel like a weight lifted off your shoulders, and that is exactly why I’m here.

My path here
Before web design, I worked in government research. It taught me how to think deeply, understand human behaviour, and look beneath the surface, but I was craving something more creative and something hands-on.
Web design became the perfect blend of everything I love:
psychology, creativity, problem-solving, and making ideas come to life.
Today, I bring that thoughtful, research-minded approach into every project, but in a way that still feels warm, simple, and human. No jargon, no overwhelm, no 20-step processes. Just honest collaboration and websites that feel good to use.
Life off the screen
I live on a narrowboat on the English canals, and the slower pace of life shapes everything about how I work. Time in nature keeps my mind clear and open.
I’m happiest when I’m making something: crochet, baking, cooking, renovating our boat… anything that brings creativity into everyday life.
That same love for making things, thoughtfully, carefully, intentionally, flows into the websites I design.
Values I work by
I want your website to feel like a breath of fresh air, clear, calm, and easy to use.
Simplicity
No clutter, just purpose.
Clarity
So visitors know exactly where to go.
Thoughtfulness
Every detail considered.
Support
Because small businesses deserve someone in their corner.
Who I work with
I work with service providers, makers, creatives, founders, and small businesses across a range of industries.
My clients are people who:
Want a clean and trustworthy online presence for their business
Are tired of platforms that feel “too complicated” or "not intuitive"
Don’t have the time (or desire!) to become DIY web designers
Appreciate clarity, warmth, and a straightforward process
Want a website that actually works, not just one that looks pretty
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
